TOP STORIES Man killed in motorcycle-car crash in Sopore | KNO Published 4 hours ago on August 29, 2026 By KNO Correspondent Sopore, Aug 29 (KNO): A motorcyclist died after his motorcycle collided with a Maruti Ignis car in the Brath Kalan area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred at Brath Kalan, leaving the motorcyclist seriously injured. He was shifted to SDH Sopore by the car driver, where doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Tajamul Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Sheikhpora Bomai. His body has been kept at SDH Sopore for medico-legal formalities. The official said the car driver handed himself over to police after the accident and was taken into custody for further investigation.
